Manual Handling


Course Overview

Almost all jobs include work that involves performing some form of manual handling. This course provides practical guidance for managing risks associated with those manual tasks that have the potential to cause or contribute to injury or illness.

This course is based on the Code of Practice for Manual Tasks issued by the Commission for Occupational Safety and Health.

 

Learning Outcomes

  • To understand what is meant by the term “manual tasks” and how they cause injury
  • To understand the relevant legal requirements
  • To apply the principles in the Commission for Occupational Health Code of practice: Manual tasks to identify, assess and control risks

 

On Completion

On successful completion of this course, a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
