Safety for Supervisors

Course Overview

Supervisors are vital to achieving a safe and healthy workplace and are a crucial link between management and the workforce.

They play an important role implementing the workplace safety and health management systems, as well as supporting the organisation’s safety culture.

The Safety for Supervisors course is designed to provide participants with essential safety and health knowledge, in order to assist them in meeting their obligations as a supervisor.


Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to understand;

  • The legislative framework in Western Australia and how it will be changing

  • Duty of care provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984

  • Requirements for providing information, instruction, training and supervision

  • Hazard identification and risk evaluation

  • How to access information on Workplace Health and Safety

  • Principles of incident and accident investigation.

  • Requirements for formal consultative processes

On Completion

Participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion.

Other Information

Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet for use during the course.
