Workplace Bullying

Workplace Health and Safety

Course Overview

Workplace bullying is a serious health and safety issue that can cause significant psychological and physical harm. It is defined as repeated and unreasonable behaviour directed at a worker or group of workers that creates a risk to health and safety. The impact of the behaviour, rather than the intent, determines whether it constitutes bullying.

Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) have a duty to eliminate or minimise the risk of workplace bullying so far as is reasonably practicable. This course is designed to assist employers, managers, and workers to understand their roles in preventing and responding to workplace bullying, consistent with current guidance from WorkSafe WA.
