Managing Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace


Course Overview

This course focuses on the general principles applied to the prevention and management of psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

In July 2022 the Work Health and Safety Commission in consultation with Department of Mines Industry and Safety (DMIRS) and WorkSafe released a new Code of Practice – Psychosocial Hazards in the Workplace. This code is under the provisions of the Work health and Safety Act 2020 (WHS Act). The Code provides practical guidance on how to comply with general and specific duties under the legislation.

Participants will gain an awareness and understanding of;

  • Why is it important to manage psychosocial hazards at work

  • Responsibilities for managing psychosocial hazards in the workplace

  • Who is at risk

  • Work-related psychosocial hazards and risk factors

  • Overview of risk management approach

  • Completing a Psychosocial Risk Assessments

  • Reporting and responding to reports

On Completion

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion.
